Built on experience and commitment

The Chadler Group, Inc. was established in 1994, combining the resources of three highly respected insurance agencies located in Northern New Jersey.
Our roots date back to the Richard C. Boggio Agency, Inc., established in 1960; Carl H. Ficke & Co., Inc., established in 1947; and the John L. Werley Insurance Agency, Inc., established in 1976.
For more than 15 years, the principals of our company have brought extensive insurance knowledge and expertise to the agency through their years of experience. With our extensive background and the experience and dedication of our outstanding staff of professionals, we continue to design competitive insurance programs for our clients with the service, support and pricing that they deserve.
Since 1996 The Chadler Group has been named a “Best Practices Agent” by The Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America (IIABA). This National Designation continues to affirm
their status as one of the “Best of the Best” in the industry.

Biographies

George Yost, Chief Executive Officer
A graduate of Montclair State University, George Yost entered the insurance business as a commercial lines underwriter in 1974, followed by five years in the Excess and Surplus lines field. After moving to the Agency side in 1980, George became a partner in
1990 at Carl H. Ficke & Co, Inc., which subsequently merged into
the present day Chadler Group.


In 1988 George was President of the Independent Insurance
Agents Association of Bergen County.

Michael Iannaconi CPA, CFO
After graduating from Pace University in 1988, Mike joined the accounting firm of Deloitte & Touche. He worked primarily on clients in the manufacturing and financial sectors and reached the Manager level with the firm. After leaving Deloitte, Mike was a Partner in the accounting firm of Nardi, Iannaconi & Mazzo LLC located in Totowa, NJ. Mike became a partner of The Chadler Group, Inc. on January 1, 2008, and currently serves as the firms Chief Financial Officer.

John L. Werley, Vice-President
John Werley started in the insurance business in 1964 with the Anderson Insurance Agency and went to the Lewitt Insurance Agency, Inc. in Union, NJ in 1967. John graduated from Kean College in 1977 while going to school nights under the GI Bill. In July of 1975 John started his own agency in Newark, the John L Werley Insurance Agency. He merged with Carl H. Ficke and Co., Inc. in November of 1991 which became The Chadler Group, Inc in 1994. John presently directs the Life & Health department in addition to serving his commercial and personal insurance clients.

Richard L. Werley, Vice-President
After graduating from Rutgers University in 1992, Rick joined the
John L. Werley Insurance Agency, Inc. as a bookkeeper and personal lines representative. Since joining the agency Rick has held positions in both the commercial and personal lines departments, as well as serving as a producer/salesman since 1995. Rick became a partner of The Chadler Group, Inc. on January 1, 2007, and currently serves
as a sales and marketing advisor for the agency.

Mark Todisco, COO
Prior to joining The Chadler Group in 2006, Mark Todisco held the position of Vice President/Property Casualty Manager with Wachovia Insurance Services in Wayne, NJ.

Mark began his insurance career in 1979 joining the firm of Rhodes Agency, Inc. in Hawthorne, NJ. He became Partner & Vice President
in 1984 and was instrumental in the growth of the agency for a period of 22 years. The agency was acquired by the Wachovia organization in November of 2001.

Mark received a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics & Finance from Montclair State University in 1979. He currently serves as Chief Operating Officer for the firm.

Michael R. Boggio, Vice-President
Upon graduating from Quinnipiac University in 1986 with a B.S. degree in Finance, Mike decided to follow in his father’s footsteps, and join the Richard C. Boggio Agency. He attained the Certified Insurance Counselor designation in 1992.

While holding numerous positions during his tenure with the agency, Mike was a key component in facilitating the partnering of the Richard C. Boggio, John L. Werley and Carl H. Ficke Agency’s merger in 1995 to form The Chadler Group. Pursuant to the merger, he became the agency’s Marketing Manager and one of the firm’s top producers.

Mike serves as Vice-President and concentrates his efforts in the fields of Real Estate, Malpractice, Manufacturing and Contracting in addition to his supervisory duties in both the sales and service departments of the firm.

B. Scott Erickson, President
Scott graduated from Susquehanna University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. After studying Business Management at Oxford University, Oxford, England, Scott entered the insurance business in 1986 with Russell E. Stevens & Co. where he became Vice President and specialized in Insurance Agents Errors and Omissions Insurance. In 1994 the firm merged with the Independent Insurance Agents Association of N.J. (IIANJ) where he became a Director and administered their E&O Program.

Scott attained the professional designation of Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI) in 1991, served as Chairman of the IIANJ Young Agents Committee in 1992-1993 and served as President of the Essex County Independent Insurance Agents Association in 1992-1993. Scott joined The Chadler Group in 1999 where he currently serves as President.
